Narang wins 50m rifle 3-position bronze

Narang's effort, and those of Sanjeev Rajput and Imran Hasan Khan, also fetched India the bronze in the team event.

Gagan Narang clinched the bronze in the men's 50m rifle three position event of the Asian Games shooting competition on Thursday. 

China made it a 1-2 with Fu Zhang winning the gold and Lei Zhang the silver.

Narang's effort, and those of Sanjeev Rajput and Imran Hasan Khan, also fetched India the bronze in the team event.

The trio's tally of 3456 fell one point short of the silver medal score by Kazakhstan.

China took the gold with 3494 points.

1. Fu Zhang, CHN, 1268 (Prone - 395, Standing - 385, Kneeling - 390, Final 98).

2. Lei Zhang, CHN, 1266.8 (393 + 388 + 384 + 101.8).

3. Gagan Narang, IND, 1261.9 (396 + 391 + 375 + 99.9).
