The Noida police are planning to approach a district court for permission to conduct a narco analysis test on Dr Rajesh Talwar, whom they have accused of killing his daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.
A narco analysis test refers to practice of administering chemical substances to lower a subject’s inhibitions. “With the tests, we may get leads to strengthen our case,” said Jagveer Singh, station officer of the Sector 20 police station.
The weapon of offence, Aarushi and Hemraj’s mobile phones and the clothes worn by Talwar on the day of the murder, have still not been recovered. Vishnu Thapa and Krishna, earlier termed “suspects” in the case, have been missing ever since they were picked up for questioning. “Anxious relatives in Nepal have been calling us. We are thinking of moving court,” said Bhim Jhimre of the Nepalijan Adhikar Suraksha Samiti Bharat.
Besides questioning Nupur Talwar on Sunday afternoon, the police also seized Rajesh’s laptop and the hard disk of Aarushi’s computer.
