Natrang opens winter workshop for children

Balwant Thakur, the director of Natrang Jammu, inaugurated Children's Winter Workshop-2013 on Saturday at the Natrang Studio Theatre here.

The workshop is being conducted by Sumeet Sharma, a national awardee for direction in theatre, Asheish Nijhawan, a post-graduate of National School of Drama with higher education in theatre from London International School of Performing Arts, and Aarushi Thakur, a product of St Stephen's College, New Delhi.

The workshop is being assisted by Rahul Singh and Mohd Yaseen, national scholarship holders in theatre from ministry of culture, Government of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said that a unique opportunity has been provided by Natrang to children who would be exposed to the world of creativity and innovation.

"Using the latest developed theatrical devices of self exploration and personality development from Europe and the USA, the participating children will have the occasion to hone their abilities while participating in creative games and exercises. Theatre is one of the most effective medium of mind development, finishing one's self," Thakur added.
