Naxal attack: CRPF personnel killed, two injured

A CRPF personnel was killed and two others injured in an ambush by Naxalites at Dantewada district today, police said.

A CRPF personnel was killed and two others injured in an ambush by Naxalites at Dantewada district on Sunday, police said.

The District police said that one CRPF personnel Manveer Saha was killed whereas S K Khajuriya and Ajay Singh were injured in the ambush.

The CRPF's second battalion's headquarter company's personnel, posted at Sukma area, had set out for patrolling on Sunday. When they neared the forest of Kerlapal and Chitpal village, the Naxalites fired at them, they said.

The personnel also retaliated to the firing after which the Naxalites fled the spot, they said adding a special force has been sent following the incident.

The injured personnel have been admitted to the Ramkrishna hospital in Raipur.
