Official sources said the blast occured near National Highway 16 at Gorla Nala area where a joint patrolling team of CRPF and local police were on clearance duty for the Lok Sabha polls.
Mohammad Hussain, the CRPF constable belonging to the 178 battalion of the force, was killed along with another constable from the local police, they said.
Though, the exact make of the bomb is yet to be identified, sources said it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).CRPF Director General A S Gill is currently in the state to review security situation for the upcoming polls following Friday's ambush by naxals which left 10 personnel including a Deputy Commandant dead.
