The National Conference has said it will do exceedingly well in the Jammu region. It said the party will get the highest-ever tally from this region this time. "Given support of the people and enthusiasm of the cadre, the NC is set to make it a big in the region," said Devender Rana, addressing a gathering at Kathar Manwal in the Nagrota constituency on Sunday. Rana is contesting from Nagrota on NC mandate.
The National Conference had in the last elections got 6 out of the 28 seats won by it from the Jammu region.
He said the party with a progressive agenda for all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is contesting elections on the plank of development works undertaken in the past six years.
He said the NC alone can meet the challenges faced by the state. He said the party is in fact peoples' movement with a vision of a vibrant, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir.
He said an ambitious beginning has been made and substantial achievements have been made during the past six year years.
Rana said Nagrota constituency has not been developed despite being in the vicinity of the Jamm city. He said the creation of new administrative units is a step for realising the dream of progress
