Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said the National Conference will forge a poll alliance with the Congress for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Omar, during his visit to Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Dargah in Ajmer, told reporters that his party would have an alliance with the Congress, which is a partner in the ruling alliance in Jammu and Kashmir.
The young chief minister, on a question about the ongoing tension in the relations of India and Pakistan said, "There are several forces in the Pakistan that pressurise their government to keep away from friendly relationship with India".
He said that Indian tourism and trade, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, are adversely affected due to terrorism.
Omar said his government is committed to bring the Jammu and Kashmir on the mainstream of the development.
He was accompanied by former J and K chief minister and his father Farukh Abdullah and other family members.
