A senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader on Thursday said that the BJP led NDA was not untouchable and party chief Shibu Soren has been authorised to take a final decision on any re-alignment in Jharkhand after JMM's 'humiliation' by UPA allies post Tamar bypoll.
"We have never considered NDA as untouchable and the party MLAs and MPs have authorised Guruji (Soren) to take a decision in this regard," JMM general secretary Dulal Bhuyan told PTI here.
Bhuyan, who was a cabinet minister in the UPA ministry, was replying to a query on reports of the JMM allegedly tilting towards the BJP-led NDA ahead of the general elections and the continued uncertainty in formation of an alternative government in the state after Soren quit as chief minister.
"A strong resentment is prevailing in the party following Guruji's defeat at the hands of a political novice in the Tamar bypoll, which points towards a political conspiracy against Guruji," claimed Bhuyan.
Soren on Tuesday had said in Giridih that within a week things would be clear as to who was putting spikes in formation of an alternative government in the State, now under Presidents Rule with the State Assembly in suspended animation.
