ADITI LABS, situated at Platinum Plaza, is introducing a world-standard computerised blood-testing machine – Axsym — that would be able to conduct 90 tests from one blood sample. The tests would also be very much faster and cheaper, director of the lab Dr Raja Maiti has said..

Addressing a press conference today, Dr Maiti said that the computerised machine would be inaugurated on December 20 at 12.30 pm and would be able to conduct tests on 80 different blood samples at the same time. Any test would require 15 to 25 minutes and a single sample would be enough for conducting various kinds of tests.

The immunoanalyser machine runs on four different techniques and can perform tests for cancer, hepatitis, AIDS, heart diseases, thyroid, lipid profile and others. No tests results would require more than three hours, whereas normally blood tests take two to three days, the director said.

Dr Maiti said that apart from being fast and accurate, the tests would be cheaper too. The thyroid tests that are conducted for Rs 500 in other places would cost Rs 350 at Aditi Labs while the lipid profile would cost Rs 150 instead of Rs 350. The patients would be able to save 40-50 per cent on the tests.
