The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday got a three-day transit remand of two members of the banned outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) for their alleged involvement in the multiple blasts in Bodh Gaya and Patna.
The Raipur court gave the transit remand of suspected SIMI operatives Umer Siddiqui (35) and Azharuddin Qureshi (20) to NIA.
According to the Raipur Police, the NIA team will produce both of them in Patna special court.
Both the SIMI activists were produced in the court on Monday under high security as their police remand ended.
The Chhattisgarh Police got a major breakthrough arresting the suspected mastermind Umer Siddiqui that led to the arrest of 14 other SIMI activists from different locations of Raipur during the last two weeks.
