Death toll rose to nine in a road accident that took place early Saturday morning near Meethepur village under Karhal police station of Mainpuri, after two injured died at Safai PGI in Agra. The accident between tractor and DCM tanker took place at about 6 am on Saturday when those in tractor were returning after attending marriage function.

Many of those traveling for appearing in B.Ed exams had tough time due to road connecting Firozabad and Etawah remaining blocked. Students were found complaining that they could not appear in entrance exam for which they were traveling due to the jam at NH-2.

Sources revealed that compensation of one lakh was declared for dependents of those deceased.
