NMC PRO held for allegedly raping woman in Nashik

A 45-year-old Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) was on Wednesday arrested by city police for sexually harassing a woman, by luring her to marry, police said.
A 45-year-old Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) was on Wednesday arrested by city police for sexually harassing a woman, by luring her to marry, police said.
The NMC PRO Yashwant Motiram Ogale, resident of city's Panchavati locality had assured the woman to marry since long time and allegedly harassed her sexually between November 23, 2003 and October 25, 2004 by preparing false marriage documents. But when Ogale refused to marry her, she lodged a complaint against him at Ambad police station on Tuesday, police added.

He was taken to a government hospital for medical checkup before producing in local court to seek his custody, police said.
