Jaswant Singh will lose his front row seat in the Lok Sabha following his expulsion from BJP.

Singh, whose removal as Chairman of the Lok Sabha Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has been demanded by the BJP, will be seated either in the third or the fifth row in the House, Parliament sources said.

After the May elections, Singh had a seat in the front row along with Leader of Opposition L.K. Advani, Deputy Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, Party President Rajnath Singh, former party president Murli Manohar Joshi by virtue of having been one of the senior most leaders of BJP then.

“There are two vacancies in the third and the fifth rows. A proposal for seating Jaswant Singh in one of these rows was sent to Speaker Meira Kumar who has approved it,” the sources said.

Singh, 71, elected from Darjeeling in West Bengal on a BJP ticket, was expelled from the party after his book on Mohd Ali Jinnah created a controversy.
