Asserting that it has no rivalry with Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines on Wednesday said both are cooperating on ground handling.

When asked whether there is any rivalry with Jet Airways, Kingfisher Chairman Vijay Mallya said "there is no animosity..."

"I have to say this. First of all, I am a pretty easy going guy and I really do not harbour ill will... I do not like fighting with people.

"Life is too short to have bad relationships. We fight for our space but we coordinate very well," Mallya said in an interview with private TV channel CNBC TV18.

He also noted that both carriers are cooperating on ground handling and have also applied for code sharing (on certain routes).

Late last year, both airlines announced that they would form an alliance which would help in reducing costs, among others.
