Even as both of them are portraying Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis in two different projects, American actress Rachel Weisz does not think a rivalry will develop between her and Katie Holmes.
"She’s a fantastic actress, she will be fabulous. It’s not a competition. I’m surprised more people haven’t played her so far. It seems strange there haven’t been many versions.
But it’s great she has the opportunity to play her as well,” Weisz said. The actress will star in the big-screen drama, to be directed by husband Darren Aronofsky, which chronicles the days immediately following President John F Kennedy’s 1963 assassination, People reported online.
Holmes, on the other hand, will star in the History Channel’s eight-hour mini series, The Kennedys, co-starring Greg Kinnear and will premiere next year.
