Mobile handset maker Nokia announced the launch of eight megapixel handset Nokia N86 8MP in Chandigarh on Tuesday.
Priced at Rs 27,359, the new handset comes in a dual-slide design with 8 GB of internal memory that could hold up to 4000 images. “N86 has a 28 mm wide angle Carl Zeiss Tessar lens and designed to excel in both light and low light conditions,” Nokia, Head Devices and Services Marketing, Jasmeet Gandhi told media persons in Chandigarh on Tuesday.
“Users can also share location tagged pictures or videos on the internet directly from their device,” he informed. The multimedia set with a 2.6 inch display also supports integrated FM transmitter and has up to 30 hours of music playback and dedicated music keys for non-stop music, he said.
The device also supports full sync capability with a PC and TV-out support for slideshows, he said. In addition to it, it comes with dedicated gaming keys and 17 pre-loaded N-Gage game out of which customers can choose one license game for free, he said.
Quoting a ORG data, Gandhi said that the contribution of camera phones to overall handset sales in India has increased from 34 per cent to 38 per cent over the last one year and 81 per cent of the mobile phone owners would own camera phones by 2010 in the country.
