The Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway arrived in Mumbai on Sunday evening to continue their India visit till November 4, 2006.
They will be in Mumbai till Tuesday and are staying at the Taj Mahal hotel.
The entourage comprising government officials, 128 business delegates and 20 representatives of Norwegian media arrived by the Emirates at 17.45 hours at the Mumbai Airport.
During their stay in Mumbai, the royal couple would participate in several cultural and business-related seminars as well as visits to important landmarks and institutions.
"The focus of the visit will be on Indo-Norwegian economic cooperation in sectors such as the energy sector, the maritime sector, trade and services as well as tourism and culture.
Both Indian and Norwegian businesses would benefit from closer cooperation in these areas," said Astri Ghosh, consultant for Royal Norwegian Embassy.
King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway last paid a visit to India twenty years ago in 1986 as Crown Prince and Crown Princess.
