Noted Hindi writer Tribhuvan Singh passes away

Noted Hindi writer and former vice chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth Tribhuvan Singh passed away in Varanasi, his family said.

Singh died of a cardiac arrest at S S Hospital on Wednesday,leaving behind three sons. He was 84.. His body was cremated at Harishchandra Ghat in the evening. Several leading scholars, litterateurs, journalists were present.

He joined the Hindi department in BHU as lecturer in 1958 and retired from the department as head. From july 7, 1990 till July 6, 1993.He also served as a vice chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith.He wrote many books and edited many others and his works have been included in the curriculum of many universitues.
