Now, online admission mandatory in govt colleges

The Haryana higher education department has made online admission mandatory in government colleges from the next academic session. Stating that the provision had been made for the generation of online merit and admission lists, the principal secretary, higher education, SS Prasad said in a release on Tuesday that the seekers would electronically notify the outcome of admission through SMS and e-mail alerts.

The Haryana higher education department has made online admission mandatory in government colleges from the next academic session. Stating that the provision had been made for the generation of online merit and admission lists, the principal secretary, higher education, SS Prasad said in a release on Tuesday that the seekers would electronically notify the outcome of admission through SMS and e-mail alerts.

Presiding over a meeting of principals of government colleges affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand
University (MDU), Rohtak, he said information regarding various scholarships, schemes and facilities for students in various colleges had been made available online.

Students could now apply for scholarships online. Details of various courses in each college were also available online, Prasad added.
