An Indian national was charged with attempted murder after breaking into a three-storey Singapore home and attacking the elderly owner and his two Indonesian maids, news reports said on Sunday.
After receiving a call from the house, police found the 21-year-old suspect and arrested him.
He had wounds on his wrists, which the police believed to be self-inflicted, The Sunday Times said.
One of the maids, a 36-year-old woman, was in the intensive care unit of a hospital after receiving the injuries on Friday.
The owner of the house, who is in his 70s, and the other Indonesian maid, were in stable condition, the report said.
