Men and women don't see love in the same way, if one goes by the play Pagla Ghoda. Performed by Aakutam Theatre Group on Saturday, it was written by Badal Sircar. The actors are a group of parents and teachers from Heritage School and they formed the theatre group three years ago. The group members, mostly working professionals, meet every Friday at the school auditorium to discuss scripts and views.

"It is satisfying to meet like-minded people and learn from one another," says Manoj Verman, an actor.

Performed by theatre veterans Amrish Puri, Amol Palekar and Anant Mahadevan in the past, Aakutam chose Pagla Ghoda because of its effectiveness and relevance of script.

Aakutam members have been practicing since July last year for Pagla Ghoda. After performing to a full house at IIT Delhi last month, they are looking forward to a positive response in Gurgaon.

The group members from different occupations have put in a lot of effort and time to make the play a success. They read the script at least 40 times to understand it properly before enacting it. Then began the hard work when the members met four times a week to practice, which was quite a challenge since they also had to go to work.

The actors would practice till late into the night on working days, and for seven to eight hours at a stretch on weekends. The play is being staged at 7.30pm on Sunday at Epicentre. Tickets: Rs150 onwards.
