A taxi driver, working for Ola cabs, was assaulted by three bikers with irons rods and robbed of his mobile and cab on Thursday.

According to the police, driver Bharat Kisan Rathod, 25, was returning home after dropping off passengers at Kalyan. As he was crossing Dhansar village, three men on a bike asked him to stop.

“One of the bikers forced Rathod to drive in a different direction. The biker threatened Rathod with an iron rod. They took him to a deserted lane and attacked him. They snatched his mobile phone, pushed him off the car and drove away,” the officer said.
