WATER CRISIS continued in some parts of Old City on the second day today following the closure of Karbala Pump House on Sunday. The pump house at Kolar Filtration Plant also remained closed for about half an hour due to a power cut.

Water supply in some parts of Old City continued to be affected this morning following the closure of Karbala Pump House for electricity maintenance work on Sunday. However, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials claimed there was normal supply except in a couple of areas.

According to information, there was restricted water supply in the areas include Idgah Hills, Shahejahanabad, Prabhu Nagar, Tila Jamalpura, Kabitpura, Gufa Mandir, Newari Mandir Colony, Bright Colony, Nilkanth Nagar, Koh-e-Fiza, Ahmedabad, Lalghati, Vijay Nagar, Nayapura, Regiment Road, Koyale Wali Gali, Model Ground, Taj Colony, Sharma Colony, Ram Nagar, Police Line Shahejahanabad and 56 Quarters.

Besides, pumps at Kolar Filtration Plant also remained closed for about 15-20 minutes this morning. However, this will not affect water supply, officials said.
