Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday expressed satisfaction at the victory of all candidates of the NC-Congress alliance in the state Legislative Council elections and said that both parties were on the 'same page'.
"Both the parties are on same page and complement each other in translating the pledge of Khushall Jammu and Kashmir in reality", Omar said, while speaking at an informal meeting of leaders from both the parties and the victorious candidates in Jammu, soon after announcement of results.
He said that the victory of all coalition candidates in the Legislative Council elections vindicates the cohesion and unity between the NC and the Congress. "I am confident that the coalition would also exhibit the same spirit and determination in jointly facing the challenges ahead and overcoming the problems in a befitting manner", he said.
Speaking on the occasion, state Congress president Saifuddin Soz said the coalition would get strengthened and work together for the all round development of the state.
