The Millennium City will host a unique golf tournament called the All Japan Pro-Am on October 29.
The event will be organised at the Golden Green Golf Course, which is built as per international standards.
Japanese professionals, living in various parts India, would participate in the event. Employees of companies like Toyota, Honda and Sony, among others, are likely to participate.
Rishi Narain, a golfer, said, “Golfers across the world like to explore different courses and weather conditions. Unlike a tennis court or soccer field, which is almost similar across the globe, no golf course is identical. This is what makes Gurgaon, which is the golf capital of the country, an interesting option.”
The city houses as many as eight golf courses, three of which can hold international tourneys. And, if one takes into account the courses in Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida, the national capital region (NCR) becomes a golfer's paradise.
Asheet Lanba, a golfer said, “It is an exciting opportunity to learn from professionals (Pro). More tournaments should be organised to promote the game.”
