One dead, two injured in fire in Jammu

One person was killed and two others injured in a fire in the border area of Jammu district today, police said in Jammu.

One person was killed and two others injured in a fire in the border area of Jammu district on Friday, police said in Jammu.

The incident took place in a grass-cowshed of Roshan Din, a Gujjar, in Arnia border belt of the district, they said.

The fire engulfed the entire area housing over 35 animals, they said.

Din, who was caught in the fire, died, while his two sons Hafeez and Imran were injured, they said.

Police and locals rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the fire after over two hours, they said.
