One held in connection with Vadodara torching

Neelkanth Marathe, who was arrested late Saturday night, has been remanded to four days police custody.

One person was arrested on Sunday in connection with the incident of a man, Rafiq Vora, being burnt alive in his car on May 2 following violence sparked by demolition of a

, police said.

Neelkanth Marathe alias Garagewala, a resident of a society in Ajwa road, was arrested late Saturday night, police said.

He has been remanded to four days police custody.

He was arrested from where the incident occurred, they said.

Neelkanth was absconding since the incident and was arrested after police got information that he would come home, police said.

Rafiq's brother Mohammed Vora had accused 14 persons of torching his brother and the car when he was returning from work.
