One killed, 10 injured in Srinagar grenade attack

The device missed the target -- CRPF picket -- and exploded on the road injuring two personnel of the force and nine civilians.

One person was killed and ten injured, including two security personnel, when terrorists lobbed a grenade at a CRPF picket outside a building housing the 'Charri Mubarak, the holy mace of Lord Shiva, in Srinagar on Saturday.

The device missed the target -- CRPF picket -- and exploded with a big bang on the road injuring two personnel of the force and nine civilians, official sources said.

The injured were rushed to hospital where one of the civilians succumbed to wounds, the sources said.
