In yet another railway accident in Orissa, a woman was killed on the spot and another critically injured after being hit by a train at an unmanned level crossing near Therubali railway station near in Rayagada on Thursday, railway sources said.
The accident occurred when Howrah bound Samaleswari Express from Koraput hit the two women who were crossing the track through the unmanned level crossing around noon, according to Therubali station manger.
The injured was admitted to a hospital at Therubali where her condition was stated to be critical.
The accident came four days after 15 persons of a marriage party were killed when their jeep was hit by Balangir-Bhubaneswar Inter-City Express on Sunday.
Two persons were killed in separate train mishaps at unmanned level crossings on Wednesday.
