One militant killed, Pulwama gunfight continues

One militant was killed in an ongoing operation launched by security forces in Naina Batpora area of Pulwama, South Kashmir.

CRPF PRO AK Jha, said, “One militant has been killed but the operation is still on.”

The gunfight erupted on Tuesday evening after security forces received inputs about presence of militants in the area.

The militants reportedly fired upon the forces triggering off a gunfight.

Three Hizbul Mujahideen militants are believed to be trapped inside the village. Scores of worshippers are reportedly trapped inside a local mosque where they were listening to sermon when the gunfight suddenly erupted.
