A FEW days ago, HT had taken note of the lack of basic facilities like dressing rooms for Super League matches at the Ferozeshah Kotla. The players were forced to sit in the sun even as the dressing rooms remained locked.

On Saturday, however, things looked a bit better for the players. While the dressing rooms were still locked, the air-conditioners in the verandah were back functioning. In addition to that, two 'tents' were fixed on the ground to provide shelter to the players.

Meanwhile, ONGC lifted the DDCA Super League title crushing FCI by 142 runs. For ONGC, Sandeep Sharma starred with 129, a score that helped his side reach 273 in 40 overs. When their turn came, FCI could manage just 131 in 29.1 overs. Sumit Narwal got a hattrick to end with figures of 3 for 29 while Suhail Sharma too bagged three wickets for only 20 runs in 4.4 overs.

Brief Scores: ONGC: 273 for 6 in 40 overs (S Sharma 129, RS Gupta 72; V More 3/40) beat FCI: 131 in 29.1 overs (V Bhalla 64, CP Saini 40; S Narwal 3-29, S Sharma 3-20) by 142 runs.
