Hope the world is now safer. Osama bin Laden, who was the manifestation of devil-incarnate or whatever ugly and bad one can conjure, is silenced forever.

Now that the devil in Osama has been 'eliminated,' we must remember that the essence of his goodness - the atman - stays to remind the world that devilish people can't live to see victory for long and that full justice is done here and in this life.

Nothing remains pending for an uncertain future.

Let's pray for Osama because he was so weak that he could not overpower and tame the devil in him. The good in him was buried for years and the devil took full charge.

It is said that ontologically, we are all the same and identical; but phenomenologically, we take an infinite number of shapes and differences. With the devil put to rest, Osama is now liberated to assume his good self; and he must be thankful to Obama and his troops who helped him regain his true and pure nature!

Osama, the face of dread after he plotted the attacks on World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Sept 11, 2001, has been living a kind of most suffocated life for about a decade as the US was out to hunt him, dead or alive. Perhaps it was good for him that he did not suffer any longer.

The only wish that he could not fulfill was that he should not die at the hands of the Americans. He had instructed his aides to kill him before the US forces could have the satisfaction of doing it. Why that singular wish could not be fulfilled will remain a mystery.

Now, in death too, Osama will have an unfulfilled wish that he could not get a proper Islamic burial. Burial at sea could be his last wish. Muslim clerics say burial at sea is a violation of Islamic tradition. But how can one follow the rules in death after flouting them all one's life!

Anyway, one can't fight with one who is no more. The best to say is, as someone tweeted, Osama is dead, long live Obama!
