India born Indra Nooyi has done it once again. For the third year in a row, Pepsico’s chief executive has been named as the most powerful woman in the US business in the annual list prepared by American publication Fortune.
Nooyi tops the list of 50 most powerful women in business.
Apart from expanding the global business, Nooyi was commended for pushing healthier products like orange juice with omega-3 fatty acids.
Nooyi is a Successor Fellow at Yale Corporation and serves on the board of several organizations, including Motorola, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger described Nooyi as “ a wild New York Yankees fan”.
Nooyi was also conferred the Padma Bhushan by the Indian government.
