Over 20 BSP, SP workers arrested for clash

Twenty-one workers belonging to SP and BSP have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a clash in Katra Bazar area after polling for Assembly elections on February 8, police said today.

Twenty-one workers belonging to SP and BSP have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a clash in Katra Bazar area after polling for Assembly elections on February 8, police said today.

The incident took place in Haldharmau village when firing and brick batting broke out between the parties' workers, police said, adding they were arrested yesterday.

An FIR has been lodged against BSP candidate Arif by SP district president Mahfooz Ali Khan and against SP workers by BSP supporter Mazid Khan, they said.
