PA caught for travelling on MLA?s ticket

A PERSONAL assistant of an MLA was caught for allegedly travelling on the MLA’s ticket in II AC coach of the Durg-Amarkantak Express  on Tuesday.

The personal assistant was allegedly travelling on Shahdol MLA Chhotelal Saraogi’s ticket. Railway coupons worth Rs 2,000 issued in the name of the MLA were also recovered from him.

When Chief Ticket Inspector Mohammad Shafiq asked the passenger occupying berth No 25 in Durg-Amarkantak II AC coach, he introduced himself as the MLA from Shahdol. When the passenger was asked to produce his identity card, he said he had  forgotten the card at home.

During the course of an intensive inquiry, he identified himself as Kailash Tiwari, the personal assistant of Shahdol MLA. He said he was travelling on the ticket from Bhopal to Shahdol on the MLA’s   instruction. The passenger was handed over to Head Ticket Collector Vijay Suryavanshi at Itarsi station. 

Officials recovered from him railway coupons worth Rs 2,000, which were issued to the MLA and seized his reservation ticket No. 04640344, PNR No. 8428900418.

Kailash claimed he was traveling on the instructions of the MLA and he did not commit any mistake. He served as the personal assistant of the MLA, he added. He was in hurry and could not purchase a ticket and the action was taken on complaint of his rivals, Kailash added.
