Pak national held for overstaying in Kerala

Ali, originally from Kerala, had migrated to Pakistan along with his parents when he was in class five.

Mohammed Ali, the Pakistani national arrested at Vadakkekad for overstaying in the country, has been remanded to judicial custody till November 26.

Ali, 49, was produced on Sunday, at the residence of Kunnamkulam's judicial magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody, police said.

Ali, originally hailing from Kerala, migrated to Pakistan along with his parents when he was studying in Class five. He came back last year on a visitor's visa, overstayed and managed to obtain an Indian passport from Malappuram.

He was arrested on Saturday for violating provisions of the Passports Act and overstaying in the country.
