Pakistan Rangers on Saturday handed over the body of a young Indian woman found floating in a river in Lahore three days ago.
"Three days ago an unidentified body of a woman, aged about 28, was found floating in Chenab River near Chapear, Sialkot sector (over 100 kilometres from Lahore)," a security official said.
"Head Marala-Sialkot police had temporarily buried the body in a graveyard of Calaywala village," the official told PTI.
He said the BSF informed the rangers that the woman was an Indian national and the body should be handed over to them.
The rangers exhumed the body and handed it over to the BSF, he added.
