Pakistan has again fired along the international border (IB) in the Jammu district targeting forward posts of the border security force (BSF).
BSF official said Pakistan rangers targeted 20 posts in Arnia and RS Pura sector, about 30-km, from the Jammu city, adding that India also retaliated in a calibrated manner. The firing continued through out the Sunday night, though there was no loss of life and property in the Indian territory.
Pakistan, after being silent for two-days, had on Saturday also fired upon this sector along the IB and in Balakote sector along the Line-of-Control (LoC). The bullets and the mortar shells fired by the Pakistan hit some residential places in these areas.
Two BSF personnel were injured in Pak firing in Arina sector on Aug 11, the area being targeted regularly by the Pakistan.
It was the 13th incident of the violation along the LoC in month of August this year.
