Pakistan troops on Thursday handed over an Indian national who had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector in June.
Mohammad Rashid, a driver, was handed back at the Chakan-da-bagh crossing point to the Indian Army.
According to a defence spokesperson, Rashid, a resident of Degwar Teruan village, Poonch had crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir on June 12, 2015.
His father Sattar Din had even lodged a missing report in police station.
It is first instance of ‘friendly’ gesture by Pakistan after India and Pakistan had resumed dialogue.
