A panchayat was convened at a village under Kurawali police station in Mainpuri to decide the ‘real lover’ of a girl. Based on the panchayat’s decision, police are now looking for phone call details of the two youths to ascertain who is it.
As per reports, villagers had spotted the girl, who is a graduate student, along with the two youths at the former’s house. To settle the matter, a panchayat was convened in which all the parties were present. The boy, who was initially identified as the girl’s lover, denied the same and instead alleged that the other youth was the ‘real’ lover. This created confusion, following which police were called and the trio was taken to the police station.
To sort out the matter, the panchayat decided to see the call details of both the youths to ascertain the ‘truth’ – going by the assumption that maximum calls must have been from the one who was involved with the girl.
Interestingly, family members of one of the youths claimed that they were ready to marry their boy with the girl, but the panchayat decided to take a decision on the basis of the call records. Both the youths hail from Etah.
Meanwhile, station Incharge of Kotwali police station of Kurawali, Devesh Sharma confirmed the incident and said that the call details were being looked into. “This decision was taken in the panchayat. To decide the real lover, call details of both the youths are to be attained,” said Sharma.
