Imagine a world without your morning cup of tea and your favourite news paper.
Analysing the national and international news early in the morning has its own charm, but for those who cannot read the daily newspaper, Kolkata has something to offer: The Voice of the World, the first-of-its-kind Braille newspaper for the visually-challenged in the country.
The brainchild of an NGO, the paper has an electronic and a print version. Born on August 15, 2006, it reaches its niche clientele every fortnight.
After a couple of trial issues, the current issue was on Durga Puja and how the visually- impaired community and the physically-disabled celebrated the festival in style.
