Godown of a parcel service was gutted in a major fire in Thrissur in the wee hours on Sunday.
No casualty or major injury was reported. A fireman sustained minor injury while fighting the blaze.
The godown of Kerala Road Service (KRS) was burnt down completely in the fire before it was contained by 10 units of fire fighters battling the flames for nearly three hours, police and fire force sources said.
The blaze was estimted to have cost a huge loss as several bundles of textiles brought from different parts of the country was destroyed.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be established, a fire service official said.
The blaze was now under control and it was contained within the godown without spreading to rows of shops close, sources said.
