Armaan had everything in life — a job, wife and kids until he met with an accident. Before the accident, he told his wife that he was in a disturbed state of mind because he was unable to meet his deadlines and was not ready to face the board meeting next morning.
In trepidation, his car banged into a truck, leaving him in coma. He was minting money and now that money is being spent on his treatment.
This is a common happening now. We are so busy that we have forgotten the true meaning of life. Or may be the very definition of life is changing. Earlier, it was good health, peace of mind and good living with self-respect, simplicity, morality etc, today competition is the word.
To get relief from work pressure, we smoke, drink and do late nights in pubs, all in the name of taking a break and enjoying. Blood pressure, obesity, heart problems, anxiety are no more rare diseases. They come along with our so-called hi-fi glamorous lifestyle.
The other day I was speaking to a friend who is working with an MNC. She could not take her lunch because she was busy preparing a report, as the date of meeting a client was coming close. At the age of 27, she lost several kgs in a few months and was advised to take medicine for controlling her blood pressure.
We must all sit and think as to what is important in life. Human life is the biggest gift we have, and we must do our best to accept the ups and downs that are a part of life, like winning and losing. Enjoy every small moment of happiness and don’t forget to give yourself a big smile, first thing in the morning. We are blessed that God has given us an opportunity to explore the best for us. Do your best and leave the rest to God. Justice will be done, always.
