Two members of a patrolling team of the Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited (DGSCL) and a policeman were manhandled by three men on the Expressway, police said on Thursday.

The attackers were in two truck trailers which were parked in the service lane near Sushant Lok Chowk. When the patrolling staff asked them to remove their vehicles, the accused took out iron rods and started hitting them, the police said.

The accused were identified as Amit Kumar (24), Dinesh Kumar (30), and Manjeet Singh (21).

“Both the patrolling staff — Baljeet Singh and Dharmender Singh — fled from there and informed police. Later, police constable Pawan Kumar came to the spot but he was also hit by the trio on his head. A volunteer took the constable to a hospital,” said a police official.

When the victims informed police, four PCR vans reached the spot. The accused managed to run away from the spot. They also snatched a walkie-talkie from the constable.

“We arrested them near IMT Manesar Chowk on Thursday and their vehicles were also taken under the custody,” the official said. The DGSCL spokesperson said: “We have requested the police to help in controlling such situations. We also requested the police to take strict action against such trouble creators.”
