Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Sunday refuted the charges of short supply of fertilisers in the country.
Pawar, who was here to inaugurate few development projects, said his ministry has increased the quantity of fertilisers as compared to last year.
He said the good rains in many parts of the country and sowing touching highest record shot up the demand for fertilisers.
The minister said Centre has sent good stock of fertilisers to Maharashtra and even then the shortage has occurred due to the black marketing then the state government should swing into action.
"Delhi has done its duty perfectly. Now it is the duty of the states to bring the things in order," he said.
