Just by the virtue of being away from your home base and all commitments that come with it, an outdoor gives one the opportunity to do so many things… just for fun, wites Priyanka Chopra.india Updated: Jun 01, 2009 13:08 IST
It has been an extremely interesting week for me and I’m very excited. It’s a week where I set myself free… from my fears and from life in general! I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… I love outdoor schedules. Just by the virtue of being away from your home base and all commitments that come with it, an outdoor gives one the opportunity to do so many things… just for fun. So here I am in Bangkok, away from the madness of Mumbai. Here’s what I did:
I flew alone! I don’t mean to sound like a snob or a star but I have always, always travelled with someone, be it parents or friends, who have taken care of everything for me, from tickets and visas to check-ins. It was a bit scary but also liberating. Wohoo! Simple things bring simple pleasure.
Party hearty! The cast of crew of Pyaar Impossible are a great bunch and a whole lot of fun. We’re in a vibrant city with an exciting nightlife, so we chose to make the best of it. We’ve been out painting the town red a couple of nights and all I can say is fun, fun, fun.
Watch out Superman, here I come! We were shooting a scene in a pool that had these really high diving boards. Once we completed the scene, my newly found carefree and fearless side took over. I climbed up a four-storey high diving board and promptly dived into a 40 foot deep pool! Wohoo once again (I think my parents are gonna kill me when they read this). Uday caught my fever and did the same thing too!
Fear Factor! Not content with just conquering my fears, I went further. You all know my love for food and so I decided to be adventurous on this front too. I, Priyanka Chopra, food junkie, ate fried maggots! It was crunchy and kinda flavorful but honestly, yuck… don’t think I’ll it again for a while!
Gotta go, I have a film to shoot and more fun things to conquer!
