Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Jammu and Kashmir National Secular Forum (JKNSF) have appealed to the public to maintain communal harmony in view of the recent incidents of violence in different parts of the state.

Senior PDP leader Daman Bhasin appealed to the masses of Jammu province to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood at all costs.

Bhasin, who was addressing his party workers in Jammu on Tuesday evening, expressed his concern over some unfortunate incidents in different parts of the Jammu and cautioned that some anti-social elements were trying to create division among the people.

Reminding that even at the time of crisis the people of Jammu have maintained communal harmony, he urged them to demonstrate the same spirit in the future as well.

He called upon them not to give any ear to rumours or provocative slogans and contribute in maintaining peace at all costs.

JKNSF state president Vikas Sharma urged the people to maintain communal harmony in view of recent violence over reports of alleged desecration of the holy book in United States of America and said that people should not pay any heed to rumours.
