People's Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has said the formation of PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir was inevitable. He said the people have made up their mind to give PDP a chance to provide them "accountable and corruption-free government."

Mufti said this in a series of meeting in RS Pura and Gandhi Nagar constituencies on the last day of the campaigning on Thursday.

He observed that it was result of the good governance of the previous PDP-led coalition that there was realisation among all sections of the society and among residents of all regions of the state that only the PDP has the vision and commitment to address their aspirations.

"The PDP in its tenure of just three years treated all regions equally and decentralised powers at grassroots level by political and economically empowering all regions and sub-regions of the state. It was first time after 1947, all regions were treated equally in developmental and other activities", he claimed.

He said it was during his tenure that an investment worth `10,000 crore was made to develop industries in the Jammu region. "I had travelled across the country to convince the investors to invest in the state", he said.
He assured that his party had a vision to address the problem of unemployment.

Mufti termed Jammu as historic city of the country and promised to restore historic importance of the city and said he would develop this city as gate way of Jammu and Kashmir.
