Seeking support to set up a new system of justice and equality in Jammu and Kashmir, general secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Yashpal Sharma on Friday asked the people to use ballot to change their destiny.

"The coming assembly elections are very crucial for the state. So it is the responsibility of every citizen to cast their vote in favour of that party which has a visionary and pro-people agenda," Shamra said while addressing public meetings in Bishnah and RS Pura assembly segments.

Sharma said that his party is seeking support of the people to aggressively pursue the agenda of peace, dignity, stability and prosperity of the state.

Pointing out that PDP's policies and programmes were formulated to address aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the state, Sharma said his party has proved how to treat all sections of the society equally.

"PDP led regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had set an example of good governance and carved out a path of equitable development in the state", he said. "We want to change the destiny of the people of J&K and to set up a pro-people corruption free transparent and accountable system", he said.

Sharma sought to remind the gathering about the achievements made by the PDP-led government.

"People are themselves now comparing performance of PDP-led government with the present dispensation," the PDP leader said, adding that the "overwhelming response" the party has been receiving from people during the recent years is appreciation of all the good work done by it.
