Highlight Story

CHAOS PREVAILED at CM Mulayam Singh Yadav’s rally held to distribute unemployment allowance here on Sunday. In the absence of proper drinking water arrangement, a large number of women beneficiaries fell unconscious.
Some of them had to be rushed to a hospital in serious condition. Just when the CM was addressing the gathering, there was a commotion among the people as they saw some beneficiaries falling unconscious due to dehydration.

Beneficiaries from Farrukhabad and Kannauj were brought to the ground at around 8 am. They were not allowed to move out of the pandal for three hours.

The district administration did not bother to install fans in the pandal and there was no proper arrangement for drinking water. After three hours of wait in sweltering heat, more than three-dozen men and women fell unconscious. But, DM Amit Gupta claimed that there were adequate arrangements for water.
